Greyfriars Art Shop has a long history of serving Scotland’s artists.

Greyfriars Art Shop was established in 1840; our Greyfriars Place shop was descended from artists’ colourmen, Doig, Wilson & Wheatley.
We bought the business in 1987 and established our second shop on Dundas Street, in Edinburgh’s New Town, soon after.
Most recently, Millers Art Shop on Glasgow’s Stockwell Street, established in 1834, has also come under the Greyfriars umbrella.

Our knowledgeable shop teams are all from a range of artistic backgrounds and maintain their own creative practices. They are very well equipped to help you select the right materials and assist you with technical questions and problem solving!

We are happy to provide assistance in store, over the phone and by email.

We post a wide range of art supplies to UK addresses using Royal Mail. Please get in touch if you’d like to place an order!

We offer a discount for students and members of Scottish arts associations. Please be prepared to show a membership card or email.

Gift vouchers are available and can be redeeemed at either of our shops.
